In the beginning:
A gentleman by the name of Scott Henderson sat down and wrote a document that simplified the building process of a Spam Filtering Mail Relay Server using Red Hat Linux. Although Scott gave many hours of work and support for people that have used this document over the last couple of years, he decided to put his energies into other projects.
Sometime last year, a friend of mine had used this document to create a spam filter to filter mail for a small business of 30 or so mailboxes. And then this fall, I decided to put this document to the test in a larger organization of about 20 domains. I stumbled a little and asked Scott for some help, he was glad to help, and he also informed me that he no longer had the time to maintain the documents.
After I got my setup running smoothly, I thought that it would be a terrible injustice to let such a project go to the wayside. I decided to keep it going for the purpose of sharing it with others, and to give them the same pleasure of coming into work in the morning and having only legitimate mail in your Inbox. So I registered the domain to give it a permanent home, a community for others to contribute, and here we are.
